Who's my big girl?

Pre-Halloween festivities

This weekend we took Addison to Ryan and Heidi's Halloween party at Heidi's parents farm house. Addison wore her sweet pea costume and ended up falling sound asleep from being so toasty and warm in the little sack. We also went to Carly's 4th birthday party where Addison and Cassie had fun spending tummy time together. :)

The sweet pea!

Addison loved the wand!

Belly to back roll

We're not sure if she meant to, but Addison rolled onto her back from her tummy this weekend! She did it about 5 times in a row, so she probably knew she was on to something.

Minnetonka Apple Orchard

This weekend we took Addison to see the Minnetonka Apple Orchard. She seemed to enjoy all the people, the corn maze, pumpkins, hay ride....it was a picture perfect autumn afternoon. As usual, the camera battery died before we got all the pictures we wanted. Enjoy what we did capture!

Giggling thumb sucker

This was so cute - I was saying something like "Bobble-head bubs" and Addison was cracking up in her own little way. We caught it on film as her giggling was dying down, but notice the burp right at the end!

Addison found her thumb this weekend! We'd better start saving for braces now! Hmmm.....wonder who she inherited this habit from???? Now she needs a "ma-ting" and she'll be all set. No way I'm giving up mine! :)

Family photo

Our neighbor and photographer Erika McCauley took this shot of us in the front yard yesterday evening. She and her husband Eric came over for a glass of wine and ended up staying until 9pm! Nice couple and fun neighbors. The evening ended on a hilarious note when Callie decided she was in love with Eric and kept jumping up on his lap repeatedly and going bonkers over him. Wishe we got a picture of that!

Almost rolling over

Addison's head is strong enough now that we can place her face-forward in the Baby Bjorn. She LOVES it. She wears a huge grin while we walk around the neighborhood with Callie and admire all the changing trees. She's also almost rolling over onto her left side. She gets on her side and kicks her leg over, but doesn't get quite enough momentum to make it onto her stomach.

We got a docking station for the iPod and placed it in her room - I've been making "Addison" playlists all weekend for her - I think she likes it! She's constantly looking for where the music is coming from - especially while eating which isn't so fun. :) BUT, it's worth it.

It was so warm out this weekend
that we had lunch outside with Beth

Weekend recap

Last weekend was rainy and cool here in the heartland. Fall is definitely in full swing! We had planned to take Addison to a well known apple farm, but the rain kept us inside. We did visit Grandma Helen, attended the birthday party of Eliana Antonoff - a year old - and made an effort to hang out with Callie as well. We captured a quick video clip of Addison loving some kisses from dad.

Thanks for the cute outfit Margie!

Telling Stories

Addison and DJ having a conversation after a long day apart.

Elizabeth goes back to work!

Elizabeth's first day back at work was today, October 1. We did several transition "trial run" 1/2 and full days with the morning routine AND Addison's child care provider last week and this week, so things went rather smoothly with the real thing. Addison is doing really well at Brenda's, our fabulous neighbor across the street who is caring for her one-on-one during the day. She spent time with Brenda and her family several times throughout the summer, so hopefully it is not too much of an unfamiliar situation to her. We're sad that we can't be with her all the time, but so relieved that she is in loving and caring hands while we're at work. We took a few shots of Addison in the mornings before she went off to Brenda's - she's so cute....and sleepy.

Last weekend we had a BBQ with DJ's aunt Heather, her husband and their kids. They're getting so big! Carly is going to be 4 on Halloween, and little Cassie is 8 months.
